Collaborative law

Collaborative law is an alternative dispute resolution process intended to resolve family law issues without going to court.  Issues include, but are not limited to:

·         Divorce, legal separation, annulment

·         Child custody, visitation

·         Spousal support, child support

·         Division of property

·         Paternity issues

Collaborative law is a creative approach to reduce conflict and disagreements, protect your children and avoid entering the courtroom, thus reducing legal fees.

California Family Code Section 2013 states, “If a written agreement is entered into by the parties, the parties may utilize a collaborative law process to resolve any matter governed by this code over which the court is granted jurisdiction pursuant to Section 2000.”
