Post-judgment family law issues

Months or years after your final divorce agreement has been signed, you may find that a modification of support needs to be made to suit the best interests of you and your children.  This is known as a post-judgment modification.

Modifications involving child support or spousal support are usually highly contested.  You must prove to the court that your circumstances have changed significantly in order for a modification to be considered and approved.  Factors determining a change would include job loss or decrease in salary, or more or less time spent with your child.

If you find your circumstances have changed considerably and you want to request a post-judgment modification, contact an experienced Orange County Family Law attorney who will provide the assistance you need to handle this matter.
