A 19-year old man was convicted of sexually assaulting a 9-year old boy with a toy while other children watched. The child’s mother left him with a baby sitter while she went to work.
He now faces 30-years to life in state prison. He will most probably be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. A Superior Court jury convicted him of aggravated sexual assault on a child that included penetration with a foreign object and two counts of child molestation.
The 19-year old told the others not to tell anyone what happened, but the boy told his mother. She immediately took him to a hospital and the hospital staff reported the incident to the police.
