Child custody evaluator

A professional child custody evaluator is a neutral third party when it comes to child custody matters in court. His or her sole purpose is to determine the best interests of the child’s overall well-being. His or her recommendations are used to guide the court in its decisions on child custody.

The evaluator looks at the relationship between the parent and the child and determines if it is positive or negative. Can they communicate with each other? The evaluator looks at the needs of the child. Does the child have special needs? The evaluator’s job is not easy. He or she looks into all aspects of the child/parent relationship, including the work schedules of the parents, finances of each parent, the parent’s discipline styles, etc.
