Divorced parents with children are required by the Family court to have a parenting plan in order to prevent future conflicts when dealing with the responsibilities relating to their children.
If the parents cannot agree on one amongst themselves, the court will do so for them. The plan addresses issues such as visitation with the children, decision making, vacations and school breaks, support, medical, travel, etc.
There are times when one parent cannot follow the original parenting plan because of a job change or something else. If you are having problems following your parenting plan, contact an experienced Orange County Family Law attorney who will work with you to achieve your goals and make sure the best interests of your children come first.
