Restraining orders

A restraining order can be filed by a spouse who feels he or she has suffered from domestic violence or spousal abuse.  Having a restraining order filed against you will require that you keep from approaching or contacting your spouse, children, or both – depending on the circumstances of the charges.

In many divorce cases there is considerable acrimony between the parties.  False accusations of abuse may be made in order to gain the upper hand in divorce negotiations or in order to punish a spouse.

If you have been accused of such crimes and have had a restraining order filed against you, or if you are a victim of abuse and need a restraining order filed to protect yourself and/or your family, contact an experienced Orange County Family law attorney to determine and protect your rights to your home and family.
