Budgeting your money

Divorce is not an easy process to go through.  With it not only comes changes in emotions and daily lifestyle, but divorce also brings changes in finances.  You no longer have two salaries to depend.

It is important to work out a budget and stick to it in order to take control of any situation that may arise.  You should be made aware of what is required of you before the divorce takes place and after it is granted.

Making a workable monthly budget includes making a list of everything in your life related to finances, such as:

·     Mortgage or rent payment

·     Groceries

·     Children expenses including school activities

·     Medical expenses

·     Pet expenses

·     Utility bills

·     Car expenses, such as gasoline
