Domestic violence leads to death

A 28-year old woman with a history of abuse from her husband is now dead.  The woman’s sister told police that since her sister left the husband, she had become a target for continued harassment and verbal abuse.  The abused sister told her sister not to worry.

A little more than a year ago the 28-year old woman left her husband and moved in with her family.  The husband stalked her for months.  In February, the woman decided to file for divorce and end the 3-year old marriage; she also requested a temporary restraining order.  That day, he vandalized her vehicle.

Police records show that she reported her husband had become increasingly violent.  In addition, he sent her numerous text messages each day and hacked into her personal email account.  She moved and he found her.  The day she was to appear in court to extend the restraining order, she found two of her tires flat – it was extended.

Numerous incidents kept occurring.  Recently, it came to an end.  The husband shot and killed his wife.  He was arrested and is being held in county jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
