A prenuptial agreement

You just got engaged the man you love.  You are so happy and want to tell the world.  All of a sudden you hear the word that no one wants to hear – nothing can kill romance faster than the word prenup.

Even though it is something you don’t want to hear or talk about, with the divorce rate being so high in California, a prenup is smart financial planning and have existed for thousands of years.  You should consider having a prenup if you have assets such as a home, investments, own a business, have children from a previous marriage or have elderly parents that need to be taken care of – just to name a few examples.

If you are getting married and the thought of a prenuptial agreement has entered your life, contact an experienced Orange County Family Law attorney who can draft an agreement, review a proposed agreement, or negotiate changes to a proposed agreement.
